So as an update.
Tactical M-Lok bipod,
6 o’clock pic rail ready for Tactical laser
Tactical muzzle brake to tame this beast.
Everything I have purchased for this giggle Gatt has Tactical in the name I sh1t you not.
Laser and Tactical Punisher grip to come.
The muzzle brake was from eBay and indexed nicely with a crush washer. All gadgets from eBay. Bipod is actually quite solid and stiff, feels good.
It needs the forward grip. What is that what looks like a little grove on the underside of the muzzle break? All up it looks the goods. Not sure who is winning the Title of most tactical gun on here now? @juststarting with his 7615 is in the running perhaps another thread for the Most Tactical Gun pictures.
Alright, so not new but a little rearrangement was in order. Had a few rounds through it and I thought, while it’s out I may as well… Replaced chunky cheapy red dot with this cool little thing. Fixed x2 Ultralight Leupold, I picked up a couple of weeks ago from Usedguns.
My two Krico rifles. Don’t know exact years or models. Both have excellent bores. The non-scoped one is much more basic and in generally rougher condition. Need to get the steel wool onto it to get rid of the rust and the reblue it.
Maybe try the steel wool with kero before you commit to a reblue. You might be surprised how much of the original bluing is still there.
You can always strip more, stripping less is not possible…
It’s pretty neat. Pretty much the only modern pump action. But I had a good look and it’s 99.5% clone of Erma (West Germany) from late 60s/early 70s if I recall correctly. I’ll do some side by side when I clean that one up.
So here I am, working from home, getting shit done and it’s lunch time… Time to go get some dog food (and drop by a fun shop for some 22LR science with Ruger for later).
Anyhooooowwww… There it was, alone, in the unventured corner of the store, on the bottom shelf amongst other random parts, sad and unloved, where nobody knows your name Except for me! I knew! Ooohhh I knew!
