Gun adds I wish I could buy!

No , not the cheapest no doubt. The financial conundrum I faced was not easy. Many other interesting guns in the $1200 range. I have browsed, researched, YouTubed and pondered. I keep circling back to this one. CZ are known to make a quality product. I’m prepared to roll the dice on this one and be an early adopter.

Yes Bentaz, I think it looks better than the sporting version. I have plenty of standard stocked rifles already. I like the pistol grip and slightly unconventional look.
I also think we need to receive this sort of product positively. I think it’s a great step in the right direction to get some interesting firearms into Australia. I love bolt actions, but a modern bolt action is a modern bolt action , is a modern bolt action…
Can only have so many before …meh.
Old guns, different story.

Now we’re on the same page. Have mine preordered :slight_smile:

Any idea when you should have it?

No idea. LGS started putting in PTAs, so probably within a month, but tbh I have no idea. I actually forgot all about it, until just now, when I read this thread.

I wonder what “light pitting in barrel” translates to in Australian English ? Worth looking ???

How accurate are these 45/70’s i wouldn’t mind buying one for back up rifle for scrubbers

As accurate as you can shoot :slight_smile:

So they’re not accurate then :upside_down_face: :grinning: thanks for that mate i’ve been toying with the idea of buying one but will have to sell a couple of my other ones to do so, but good to hear they’re reasonably accurate. Long hex barrel with drop block ‘‘old style’’ would be nice

@bentaz one for you…

I would of if I didn’t already have the sportco martini .222R, the next single needs to be a big banger like a 45-70, 450 bushmaster or better yet a 458 winmag, Lott or some kind of nitro express (hey I can dream)!

Although this would make me happy!

@bentaz here you go.

Yeah but knowing they make the no.1 could you really settle for a no.3?
Not for 2k anyway.

What ended up happening to AIA in the end? I thought a modern reproduction of the SMLE would be more popular, especially people wanting to make their own L42A1 replicas.

Not sure mate, don’t see a lot of them around. My old bloke has a couple, one in 308 and one in 7.62x39.
Quite often get people asking if they are jungle carbines. Understandable mistake from a distance.
