That’s okay, makes two of us lol. Ordered a stock, only to realise it’s for a wrong action. LOL got to smile at these things. Regarding cracked stock however, check out Anvil (C&R) channel. He has a tone of really good videos on fixing stocks accounting for recoil, etc.
I did some cleaning of guns and some reloading prep. I have come to the conclusion that I have to start trimming cases and will need a trimmer of some sort. Time to do some research on them.
I restocked on some boolits, did a bunch of reloading, didn’t shoot on the weekend (feels weird). And cleaned up the reloading cave. Also received a stock in wrong action (my fault). That’s about it for the weekend and I have a feeling this coming week will be a lot less active.
I knocked my Fender Kingman acoustic bass over on Thursday. $750 new. Cracked the heel. I bought it on the Tuesday. I now have to finish breaking the crack, pack it full of glue and clamp it. Then I have to refinish it, and will err on the side of adding a pin/screw through the fretboard for peace of mind.
Shit happens to remind us that we must have a place for everything, and put everything in its place.
Oh, this Sunday I tidied my reloading bench and cleaned an awful amount of copper out of the M95. You can’t see that shit with the bare eye. Shiny and crisp I thought it was good. Hit it with Sweets and it came out so blue, it took a good 30 mins of mopping and waiting and scrubbing and patching and repeating to get it ‘sweet’. After work tomorrow, its getting tested with 2206H and mega amounts of 2209.
Was a quiet day today, went to the pistol club for the normal comp and afterwards we decided that we would play around with the falling plates and dualing tree.
6 of us got into it and before you know it I had to send the cook back home for more ammo. 2 hours and just over 3k (between the wife and I) of 9mm it was time to go home.
Now I have to set the Dillon up for 9mm and spend the bulk of tomorrow reloading but it was worth it.
Fun way to spend time with the Mrs mate… Picking up all the brass, not so much lol
That was the easy part, the shooting point is on concrete and we just swept them up with a broom.
Awesome, must be a fun little quick pointer…
That’s a very black rabbit.
Its not bad hey. And is effective from way further than expected
2 1/2" Chambers? Pretty good going with short 410.
Proof is in the pudding I guess
Went to Clayton Firearms - a worker, who helped me that day just straight up told me to get a used shotgun lmao, so I guess I’ll do that. Less of a future depreciation hit if I ever move it on, and less guilt if I fuck something up. Also can possibly get something nicer.
Found a nice looking Lanber 2098 online for just under a grand, so I think I’ll go with that.
I remember seeing them on an episode of Top Shot, they look like fun once you can get the hang of them.
