What I did in guns this week.

Love the SxS hammer guns!

Same here. I’ve got 2 12g ones,one a breech loader,the other a muzzleloader. I only wanted a sidelock sxs hammer 410 though,and finally got what I wanted

Looks sweet mate

Its a little rough but nothing a bit of TLC won’t cure.
Just need some 410 magtech shells for it

How far can you shoot with the 410?? Its been years since I shot one…

When I last had one, starlings at 30m were easy pickings, but crows and rabbits I needed to be 20m and under. So around 10-20m less than a 12g

Nice little guns to shoot. I love the 12g, but there’s something about the 410 bore, that’s cool!

I don’t care what day it is, I’m finally getting out for a shot!

She desperately wants to do more hunting, especially deer,so we’re going to give her a go on the 358w. She hunted a lot when younger

Well, a story that I don’t want to share but I’m going to.

A week or so ago I took delivery of a sporting Snider I got for cheap. It was in average condition but the bore was good. No licence needed so I can display it.

My shed is a work in progress and isn’t lined (yet) so I rested the Snider on a purlin. It seemed secure enough. Sat there happily.

Today I walked in and found it on the floor, having fallen a good 2 meters straight onto the concrete. The stock has cracked and the action is now loose. It’s all still in one piece however.

I am so embarrassed at myself. Like, in reality, it was really probably only ever going to be a display piece and the crack is clean with lots of surface area to glue so may be able to be fixed but fuck me. What an absolutely stupid thing to do.

Figured that if I’m going to post all the good, positive stuff on here, I need to post the bad and embarrassing as well.
