What I did in guns this week.

Russel R. ? Sorry officer, dunno him.

(Look mate, they were as feral as 99% of my customers on Thursday. They had also walked into the hunting reserve which is a bloody long long way from the nearest station by hoof)

Yeah she looks like she has a calf at foot or has had a calf not long ago and to do that she needs a bull so you may get a chance at a bull as well if you look around, i’m taking it she’s a scrubber

Perhaps the Russel reference is to Peter Russel Clark he was the butter is better man I think.

“where’s the cheese?”

My mate used to work for him, absolute prick of a man.

Yeah I rekon he would be a prick, looks like the type that drives a windowless Hiace van, with icecream truck music on repeat past primary schools…

But I feel left out coz I haven’t fired a shot in weeks.
My feelings are more important than your truth, Biden won, get over it!

You should fire a shot. Grab a 22 and shoot some cans. Then make wind-chimes out of them. It ain’t a shedmahal without some hillbilly wind-chimes

I loaded some 22-250

Loaded some 303, got a couple more mold handles made for myself…ordered a CBE 310 mold, and started the assignment to be a SSAA range officer…shoot this Sunday yay!

I received mine yesterday

I got this one…which one did you get?

He got the 310 Cadet #2 R, same as me.

Took a friend that was a bit touchy about civilian firearm ownership shooting the other day. Even though it was only 22, the bug got him in the end; managed to get him tempted about getting his own licence.

It also turns out the trigger on the Ruger was on it’s heaviest setting, so I’ve lightened it to see whether I like it light the next time I shoot it.

Haha yeah, takes about 5 minutes to do if you have the right allen keys.

The factory trigger is apparently adjustable from 3 to 5 lbs. I dunno if there’s any advantages to having a heavier trigger, but having it lighter does feel nicer when dry firing. Hopefully this helps me shoot better.

My friend found the trigger a little weird though, with squeezing the middle bit, and finally having to squeeze a little more at the end to shoot. I like it though, the travel is pretty consistent with the trigger.

I packed the 416, the 375 and the 30-30 and drove 90kms only to be cut off by a wicked down pour. Watched a big Landcruiser ute almost lose it through the middle, so decided to call it a day.

So I just chilled out with old mate and watched the fish cruise across like they were on a roller coaster.

Saw this boar from the road not far away. Oh technically not Sunday as it was Saturday arvo but it was supposed to be Sunday.
