What I did in guns this week.

Yeah cheers for the confirmation, I had somebody suggest it, and when I asked 2 people at the club I got 3 different answers.

Probably going to get started with an optics 22, until I’ve got the time and space to set up a reloading station I don’t imagine my wallet would enjoy a centrefire.

Still undecided on what to actually go for though, the Volquartsens have been nice every time I’ve shot one but I’m definitely open for suggestions

Sighted in Buckmark…

Top is cci mini-mags, bottom is standard. All from 25m, supported, 3MOA dot. Good enough. Did shoot better groups, but more or less this is the pattern. mini-mags did clump more, but is it worth the $, absolutely not. Going with CCI standard. I have a good supply of that, so everything is sighted in for that.

Swapped things around on 515 and resigned with an older dot I have… Both CCI std. For comp to 25m. Also good enough.

Could probably go another click, probably do that next, but for type of shooting I do and the distance I do it at, I think it’s just pointless…

Overall relaxing Friday evening.

Over the last ten days I’ve been designing and iterating on a mount for my Sulun Tacsoras. I plan to sell these.

Anyway, enough gum flapping, introducing the “Girthy Piggy”. It’s made out of chopped Carbon Fibre impregnated Nylon 6.

The lug and ring at the back and the tip at the front are reinforced with continuous Carbon Fibre strands throughout.

The only thing I don’t like is the Rust-Oleum satin came out too glossy, will try the flat black next.

Before someone asks, yes this will work on the longer Tacsoras too.

I had a good week gun wise. I finally got my (correct) photo advice letter and got my pic taken for my full Cat H, I ordered some reloading bits n bobs online, went for a plink with a couple of mates yesterday and today I was finally able to put in the PTA for this sexy beast!

Spewin’, I went into town this morning to pick up my drulov, but the registry portal is doing dipshit things. Hopefully it’ll be sorted on Monday. :unamused:

Had to buy a gun to cheer myself up…

Savage A17R, Cat-H Silhouette pistol. Because fuck those chickens and fuck those rams and fuck those goats and fuck those pigs and fuck the registry portal not working!
You see registry, you see what you made do! All i wanted was my stupid ugly Drulov, but now this is happening and its all your fault!!!

You are out of control.

While I love the idea of a cheer up gun. I have several questions about this um pistol, and they are all “What the fuck?”

Its more of a sawn off rifle than pistol. Did the sawn off look appeal? A carry over from the shotgun obsession

Dont blame me, its the registry’s bloody fault!

I just love metalic silhouette

Green letter fever is a silent killer…

Very nice! .22 Martinis are great rifles and lots of fun. You might attract some odd looks if you hum the theme to “Zulu” while using it at the range, though…

Haha might try that…All jokes aside though, i think it will shoot very good with a diet of Eley Match, maybe not Match 54 good, but wont be far behind!
