My photo advice form finally came to add Cat H to my licence, but it was wrong so after waiting on gold for 40 days and 40 nights they will fix it and send me a new one.

I ordered a sexy Sig, and then accidentally bought another Glock (yes I think I have a Glock problem). It’s in 40 s&w and I have a bunch of mags lying around for one so thought I probably need to gun to fit the mags lol.

I finally got my photo advice letter for my full Cat H, it was wrong so I’m waiting on another one. Progress is progress though.
I did a bit of reloading this week.
Today I shot 5 stages of SSAA Practical pistol. Its the most fun I’ve had in ages

Mailed off the license application for Cat H to go from provisional → full today.
Hoping the delay isn’t too bad, but it’s also VicPol LRD so I guess I just have to hurry up and wait.
At least that gives me plenty of time to obsess over what to use my first PTA on

Yeah cool. Turns out SSAA practical shooting can be done with any handgun, not just rimfire, also RF & CF rifles and shotguns.
Nothing gentle about the chub I got!
Yeah surprisingly already got the confirmation they’ve at least recieved my application. Maybe I’m jaded from going for my A/B during lockdown times.
Any idea on if I can submit my PTA (even if they don’t start processing) when I get my license number or if I have to wait for the full thing?

You’ll receive a payment and photo advice. Once both of those are done it takes 2 weeks to get the card (give or take).
I suppose it doesn’t hurt to try, but make sure its paid and valid obviously.
In any case you’ll need to print it, get it signed/endorsed at the club and then send it back. I use CamScanner app on my phone to scan and email the PDF (hold on to the original until you get actuall PTA).
Regardless of A&B, you’ll still need to wait 28 days before they even look at the PTA (first gun in new category). Which also makes me think that once you get and action the payment advice you could probably send the PTA.
