I am of the opinion that when I sell cattle, I get paid for all the crap I don’t eat and can use the $$$ to buy the cuts I do. We have butchered our own in the past, there is a lot of time and effort and waste involved.
Then there’s the problem of storage as you have indicated. You can find travelling butchers who will come and do it for you.

I dont have much in the way of waste. It used to be offal and the like but the dog and the wife get into that. She even likes the stomach. Using all the mince can get a bit laborious though normally nearly 100kg of the stuff. I only keep a few cuts for roast as I prefer the versatility of mince. But yeah not a lot of fillet or scotch fillet in the 400kg of meat that goes into the freezer.

It’s only so high coz we are now counting RAT tests aswell. If NSW was doing that they would be more than double their current tally.

Lockdown now would be just a stab in the heart. Would anyone really take it seriously? cat is out of the bag. Deaths rates would have to skyrocket for anyone to give it any credence. The 50k is way more than I thought it would get to given the prior vax’s and such. However coming out of lockdown at 2000 cases a day without any Omicron was a stupid idea given where we had come from. I expected about 10k per day within a week a two.
The supply chain issue is going to be the big social driver now. No food on shelves send fear through the population just look what toilet paper did. I have to say when I went to the supermarket and all the shelves were bare I was shocked and concerned.
I went to a couple of supermarkets yesterday and both were very close to running out of toilet paper.
This is great news! Now the death, illness and hospitalisation rate will plummet as the real number of infected people becomes available. This will all be over soon. Of course the media will continue its fear porn production with “case numbers”. But who cares about cases? Illnesses and deaths are all that matter.

How’s tassie doing with it all? We don’t really hear much about down there haha, must be a complete pain for the tourism down there, when I was in Vic I spent quite a few weekends and even days down in tassie
Everyone is freaking out and locals are staying home. Tourist trade is steady but numbers are way down.
Cases are well on the rise and a mask directive is in place. Even the covid deniers are backflipping locally and getting vaxed…

Well my patience have tested negative and I’m positive for cabin fever, but fuck knows about my covid test.
Todays the day I should be getting another test to see if I can come out of purgatory, I mean quarantine if I was positive.
Dropping like flies here. People testing positive and pretty much asymptomatic from the ones I know of.
Is every other premier putting uninoculated on house arrest or is it just our flog??
