The big fat COVID-19 thread.

I know a few now, most I know fairly well. Seems to be a mixed bag. Some were perfectly fine (vaccinated), others (not vaccinated) had a pretty hairy experiences. However, all with previous strains. Don’t know anyone with recent infections… Make of it what you will.

I reckon we’ll all know someone soon and get a go of our own.

Covids made it to Antarctica now, but WA still thinks they can keep it out forever.

Saw on the news today that coles is limiting the sale of chicken and other meat due to supply chain issues app. Like that is not going to create a panic buy and empty shelves by the end of the day. At least I was planning on chopping the head off a steer but I dont have the cool room or the knowledge to get the best out of the cuts.
Will get a kanga for the dog tonight just because.

Farking supply chain is roo ted.

Feels like the supply chain issues are self inflicted. How can global supply chains impact milk and meat when they are usually from within the state or worst case interstate ?

Adblue.

I think heaps of middle men/woman are being kept in iso or legit sick it seems, not to bad over here though, for now… anyway

Given its a state of emergency they could ram through some legislation to allow exemptions for deletes. Here in wa anyway.

@sungazer , At the prices cattle are fetching at the saleyards nowadays, I would be sending that steer to market, you’ll be able to buy a years worth of lobster and caviar with the price you’ll get.

I have a few more of his brothers and sisters going in the truck to market. He was designated at birth for the freezer a cross I wanted to test for eating. I do hope I get some good prices there is a lot of farm shit that is costing me dearly. Yesterday after fixing some fences I went to turn on the electric fence unit only to find it has shit itself. I dont really feel like getting the parts to diy fix again. They are a rip off for the tech involved.
