@Nomis I feel like you need to explore this thread
Uhhhhh I don’t think that’s a good idea. Could end badly.
So, as you know, I am tinkering with 303-25, but you see, I have this little, tiny really, OCD. I need to have some original ammo for each firearm I own from that time period. 7.5x55 Swiss is my white whale. Sort of like Pokemon. anyway, being that I am tinkering with 303-25, I wanted some ammo, which, shall we say is not the easiest thing to find. About as common as… Well, it’s just not freaking common! Especially when I am after a factory box! And then I came across this dude online, turns out he’s really close, told me that he sold off everything he had (common calibres to his surplus) and this is what’s left - so I should drop by and pick it up, for free I did supplement his ammo stash, with something he wanted and I had, I felt too guilty to just grab it for free and he threw in some other stuff he had no use for (you’re welcome, @bentaz). So, here’s my loot from tonight (so freaking happy, so, so happy)!
Oooo what do we have here, ay?!
The first unobtanium is 303-25 IMI - 3/4 of a box.
The second unobtanium is 303-25 super - full box.
Fuck yeah!
Damn good score there mate.
Man, I really wish I didnt put all those boxes of Dads 1940-ish ammo on the train tracks at East Malvern station decades ago
Nope, I haven’t got any.
Pic of ammo?
I picked up a couple of boxes of Edwardian era .22 longs today to match my 1906. Like this-
Seems they are worth a ridiculous amount of money, the box pictured is for sale at $225 USD.
Oooooo, @Wombat, wow, so swapsies for some `06 parts
Also, you should post your collection, I bet you have some gems.
I was teasing, not offering. I like having period correct ammo and accessories too.
I do have some interesting ammo hanging around.
The two boxes I scored today are slightly different to each other, both are winchester longs, one is unopened, both are full.
Nice. I really want to see your stash. You are the kind of guy who is like, oh that, I had that for ages, that’s nothing… Unobtanium-3000. LOL
Still have a screw here for you btw.
All my firearms are garden variety, though I do tend to accumulate a lot of other assorted crap.
For example the only reason I found those 22’s was looking for and asking about old .222 rimmed ammo for Bentaz (no luck so far).
I meant ammo…
Ah ok, yes a lot of odd ammo over the years. Might post a photo of one round in the “Guess this Ammunition” section. Only problem is it has no markings and I’m buggered if I know what it actually is (suspect WW2 Jap).
Not quite like the one I found on the interwebs. The lesmok pack is still sealed and full, the No22 is opened but still full and possibly older than I thought, maybe even blackpowder.
