Thank heavens the police are investigating the police.

By the way, nice police state you got there. Be a real shame if someone were to unite all the citizens together, from all kinds of employment and simply REFUSE to serve, supply or admit any Police, Auxillary, MEDIA, and all MPs and their families from any and all Victorian businesses.

No coffee, no takeaway food.
Delivery drivers stop delivering.
Petrol station workers stop turning on bowsers.
No tradespeople attend these pricks homes, buildings, offices or facilites of Police, Media or Parliamentary officers and their staff and their families.

A real shame eh?

Fark, hope that copper gets the book thrown at him.

I’m pretty sure they will. Not a good look in the current climate to do otherwise.

I’ve read the dude has got Jeremy King as his lawyer. He also represented that disability pensioner that was assaulted 2 years ago now.

yep, pretty loud incident

‘Concerning’ and ‘improper’. FFS.

I might stomp on someone’s head at work today and see if I can go on leave with full pay for a while!

Let me know how that works out for you…

Glad he’s been suspended and that it has been handed to IBAC. It seems like VicPol is well aware how this looks and is jumping on it.

I know this is stating is the obvious and maybe I’m just a bit naive, but I don’t get people like this cop. Even if we just accept you’re a violent piece of shit who joined the police to beat people up, how do you not realise that you are almost certainly being filmed? Plus, given what is going on in the world, you should be pretty certain that tolerance for this shit, from both the public and other officers, is at an all time low.

I cannot imagine how frustrating shit like this must be for those in the force who are trying to make positive changes.

The depressing thing is, I have a bunch of Year 11 footy boys who want to be police now that it has finally clicked that they won’t be playing AFL who would see this video and just think it was great. I have a year 12 who was 100% keen on joining the force who would have been exactly what you want in a cop who changed his mind after everything kicked off earlier in the year and has now just been accepted into film school.

Don’t know how reliable this is…but take a look.

Yeah, legit. Vic market protest last week. As for rice shortages, unlikely. But re local rice crop - true.

That video is a load of balls.

He says the police were at the market because of a protest, which they were, and the video clearly shows that. Then goes on to link the police presence to a lack of rice… So was it the protest or the rice?

Next, we have a police presence at a farmers market, because again, upcoming rice riots. OK, so the police go to the farmers’ markets, not the supermarkets? Who buys rice at a farmers market anyway? I’ve seen police at farmers’ markets before COVID, it was because there were crowds there, and sometimes police go to crowded places to check things are OK.

So we’re running out of rice. That seems plausible. Drought plus reallocation of water right means that growing a water-heavy crop has some issues. However, firstly, if we run out of Australian rice, we can still import rice, as the video says. Secondly, even if we run out of all rice, just all of it, local and imported, we will be fine. I like rice and I hope we don’t run out but if it magically disappeared tomorrow, everyone would switch to other options. It is not an integral part of our food security. We still grow, and export, a shit-ton of wheat, barley, corn, oats etc. If it really hit the fan, we would cut our exports and have even more for local consumption.

Finally, the beef. I live in a part of the country with a lot of abattoirs. It is totally normal for them to cut or add shifts as the market rises and falls. On a normal day, 30% of people working at an abattoir are casual, that is how volatile the job security is. Also, he specifically mentions that this is a permanent change for the abattoir. No, it isn’t. They say that the change is due to the drought and COVID fucking up their export market. Thus, when the drought and COVID are over, they’ll bring those shifts back.

If our options are:

  1. The UN/whoever, is manipulating global food supplies as a part of a global conspiracy to control people by destroying their food security and thus, make them reliant of the UN in some way. A complex, and very detailed plot which is being implemented by coordinated national governments and food producers across the world.
  2. COVID and a drought happened at the same time which no one saw coming and now the market is fucked for a bit.
I know which of those two I’m putting my money on.

Consider this, since it was formed, one of the key issues that the United Nations has been attempting to deal with is the Arab/Israel crisis. How’s that going? The UN cannot successfully put together a successful peacekeeping operation or plan in a region where they have been operating since the end of WWII.

Fuck me. There is enough genuine, awful, terrifying shit going on in the world, we don’t need to go around making up more of it because someone saw a police car at a farmers’ market.

Sheesh if I reacted like that every time I stumbled on a prepper/conspiracy YouTube material, I’d have a book, @Nomis

I watched the part with Vic market, which was accurate.
Sprinkle with what looks like normal patrol - hrmm, where are we going with this I thought.
Rice - started tuning out. Factually correct, Australian rice growers are doing very badly, but care factor is so low, like you said, import and not part of food security.
When he went to beef I stopped watching, especially now when everyone is running on 30%

He presents facts, but draws all sorts of weird conclusions. Typical conspiracy channel, take it easy and move on
