Ever fired an L1A1 SLR?

Lemonparty!

In the shack at Robbies farm out here there is a pizza oven mounted in the flu above the fire box.
Trying to find a pic of it but found this while looking.

Like this one only his is square

I like the idea and the construction of this one. I think it is important that this be easily removed however as cleaning the flue once a year really is a must. Also remove the top baffle so the brush can be pushed right down into the fire box. I have had the soot fall of the inside of the flu and gather on the top baffle slowly blocking the flu. the fire wont burn properly your house will fill with smoke when the door is opened and worst of all as the soot builds it may cause a flu fire or a fire on top of the baffle. who knows? not me.

Iā€™ve cleaned my flue once in 20 years. Itā€™s a wide one and a tall one, 2 storeys. No problems.

No, never. Hopefully Iā€™ll have my cat B licence soon. Shooting air rifle for now. Iā€™ll start practising with a 223 when the licence lands. Hoping the recoil is manageable.

In 25 years I have burned out 2 top baffles and a couple of air rod one of which needs replacing now. I have also replaced a set of cast iron liners as they were starting to look old and a little warped. I have melted a Top hat. I have had a Top hat completely choked up with tar and soot which may have led to its melting and a small chimney fire. Flu maintenance stepped up after this. My heater being an old one is able to be turned down more than the newer ones. The newer ones need to meet tighter epa codes they do this by burning. Its when it runs turned down for a long period of time and not really burnt hot that the soot builds up.

A bit of a catch 22 as when it gets cold we will sometimes run the open fire which heats the house well so the heater gets turned down.

I like my guns like I like my women!

Rusty and dry?

@Oldbloke did you knowā€¦ Iā€™d estimate, Iā€™ve watched 98% - 99% of all Star Trek episodes ever made (for real). OST is the best in my opinion. They are all B grade shows, but OST was a masterpiece for its time. Iā€™m like the worse kind of trekki-bullie. I donā€™t just push buttons, I know what buttons to push hehehe Like that time Pikard was fighting Bord and Aniken came in and saved the day.

Did you watch all of those star trek episodes in your mums basement waiting for your imaginary friend to come over and play dungeons and dragons?
