Going through my old emails with wapol and found this chestnut. Really gives you a perspective of the crap we have to deal with. This was just about a second 243. Check out the last paragraph.

Please can you explain why your new thermal scope cannot be fitted to one of your existing rifles? “While i understand you do not license scopes, isn’t the task to assess the persons genuine need and not just the firearm. A firearm alone will not meet a genuine need unless it has a sighting system and sighting systems are not a one size fits all thing.”
Ahhh that brings back some memories.
Just goes to show how little the licensing branch knows about firearms.
Dealing with them would do my head in. But i guess that’s their aim.
