What I did in guns this week.

That looks like a perfect weekend. Why would anyone be anti-gun??? Make you wonder…

Sweet and neat, mate. :ok_hand::nerd_face:

Looks like a hoot, @bentaz! Making me hungry!

What a wet and cold Sunday it has been. Best I could do this week was a bit of fun with the 22 including the bag limit of 4 egg stealing Black Bastards. They developed a 40grn headache.

I just did some reloading and cleaned vomit buckets.

37 degrees in the shade. Humid like my crotch. I ain’t chasing nuttin’!

Another weekend of clays and noisy metal discs.

That’s not enough gold cans for that amount of chicken…

Oh we are doing Sunday thing… Well, I don’t need to update anyone on my Timberwolf experience. I’m still clutching on to wet wipes

Another sneaksy little project in the works. Final part arrived on Saturday. Soooon. Soooon.

Sear on my 1911 snapped. Which isn’t cool, but new one is on order from Brownell’s.

That’s about it for me. Heaps of work, actuall work, and gastro attacking my family members for about a month kept me busy.

Guy who shags my sister (brother in law probably) signed up to the pistol club, so that’s cool, makes me bring my A game.

Can’t wait for the break, I need a few weeks off.

Ive had a quiet week in shooting terms this week in time behind a gun. Being doing a lot of work building a new clubhouse at the rifle range. Between fights between clubs and different people and dumb arse me doing most of the building work I am a bit burnt out. Took the Savage A22 back for exchange on Monday still waiting for a PTA supposedly they said they have a replacement gun already. Not sure I trust that gun shop which is a big disappointment it had a really good stock level, was overpriced on a lot of things though.

On the good side the other gun store that I pass by regularly while it didnt have the 22 ammo I wanted gave me a price that was like 3-4$ less per pack $99 a brick to my other best that I had to drive hours for was $135 or something like that.

What I dont understand is how one shop can sell say a A22 for $845 and others want $1200 and are not prepared to match prices. How can you give shop loyalty with such big differences.

Has it been a quite week for everybody? Lets see some posts.

This week it was the Christmas breakup party and shooting 22s was the theme for the day. It was blowing a gale and I thought that it was going to be a complete disaster. It was nearly impossible to take the targets out to the stands backboards without them ripping to pieces.
We shot 10 prone ant 100 yrds, 10 from the bench at 100yrds and 10 standing at 100 yrds. The wind was predominantly in your face but also changing out to a 90 deg. I was amazed at how well the 22s shot given the conditions.

There were some real old guns that the oldboys had I mean when a 80 year old says this was grandads gun it makes you think. I think there may have been some exaggeration but one in particular looked like it was off the first fleet. Then one of the newer members and much younger had a straight pull and he could really cycle that machine.

A good shoot was had and it was finished off with a BBQ of Venison Hamburgers that were really nice.

My Sunday was spent puking and sleeping. I puked at 6am and at some intervals since then, then climbed back in bed. Just got out of bed. Yeah.

We had the final shoot at our local pistol club that was turned into a fun shoot.
First range had Christmas ball decorations filled with water hanging where the targets should be, these were shot at 25m.
Second range had Coke cans, again filled with water, again hanging from string. These were shot at 10m rapid.
Third range had a dueling tree, small 2 inch paddles, at 10m and plastic bottles filled with water at 25m.

It was a great way to end the shooting year and everyone had a ball. Even if it was 39 degrees and not a puff of wind to be seen.

Now the fun job of cleaning all of the pistols.

Last week it was the rest of the family now its your turn. I hope they look after you as well as you looked after them. Hope your feeling better soon. perhaps we delay that shooting afternoon.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I feel a bit better now. Hopefully will be okay by tomorrow.

Ohhh man. You’ve dealing with this a bit for the last week or more haven’t you?

Month or more. Both of the kids going to school and kinder keep bringing something home… Identical symptoms, so guessing the gestation period was about a week. Hoping I can be at work tomorrow. On home stretch before annual leave, lol

Went for a bunny hunt on saturday, blew some brains around the paddocks

Sadly I haven’t touched a gun at all this week. :persevere:

Concise and top the point. LOL

Well, it’s Sunday. No shooting this week, but my new recruit did his Cat H safety course. Feel proud. Found couple of tubs of primed 357 brass, which I knew I had, just didn’t realise I primed most of them, so banged that out pretty quickly

Yeah, wow, pretty uneventful in guns this week.
