$50 or less , I’ll buy a gun in any condition short of RS.

Always one shot that makes it average. I should have stopped at 4 .
Shot at 50 metres with the christensen arms ranger.22

Its the old ‘oh wow, this is looking good’ problem. Nothing wrong with the rifle or your aim. Just a mild case of the yips, I’m tipping.:+1:

I knew as soon as I pulled the trigger lol. Its always my first or last shot of a group . But its minute of rabbit head all day long . This was the best group I could manage at 100 as well . I think I might just need a scope with a bit more magnification. But loaded with 10 rounds its just shy of 3kg and balance is awesome the way it is . So its a hard choice

drop my LA101 in a new home  Review coming soon. But here it is. Has 5 round flush magazine, the 10 and 15 rounders protrude a little, but not in this pic.

Well after many years of shitcanning rimfire magnums,I got a Savage A17 .17Hmr.
Came at a price I couldn’t refuse. Basically new and now the A22 has a twin sister in the A17

Only discernible difference is the A17 has a chunkier bolt handle.

Nice not just any 17 then but the semi semi. Will be interested to see the insides when you pull it apart. The delayed blow back mech is of interest.

I did pull it out of the stock to inspect the barreled action and also reseat it as it was a bit off centre.

I haven’t really inspected the guts of it yet. The rear cover and recoil spring seems exactly the same. I have no idea if the .22lr is running on a system that also handles magnum rounds. Then for magnums, they slot in a new barrel and bolt head. Action length is the same, barrel length is the same.

Some fun with LA101 (50m)

Federal, bulk, about 20 or 25 shots

Also federal

Handful Elley of some sort. A handful is all I had lol

SK 15 rounds (this was actually the very first shot, not sure what happened with that bottom hole, maybe me, maybe clean’ish bore, maybe meh. Fairly certain that wasn’t me.

Finally put my rimfire KYL rack together properly so had a bit of a shot. Can clean it at 50m prone but only got 4 in at 100m.

I got my 515 Tic Tac a brother, His name is Woody. If you are thinking of getting a 515 , I would not delay too much longer. Highly likely the current batch is the last we will see. I hope I’m wrong but all indications point to no more being imported.
Anyway Woody looks ace.

I’m trying a new cantilever scope mount on the Tac , I want to try a high mount with the 1-6 scope, so far it feels nice.

Took Tic Tac to the range the other day, still runs like a champ, have yet to shoot Woody.

I got one a few months ago ( timber stock), LOVE IT , accurate out to 100 so far ( 1 - 1.5 inch groups, depending on ammo) …

the first time I used it at the range, 3 people went into my local GS and inquired on them… the only thing is man you burn through rounds… it gets almost addictive, you get into the rhythm and before you know it the mag is empty…

Sounds like you need more mags

lol… yep !!

my hatsan escort 22lr has the same mags, so I actually have 3 for it… still burn through them sooooo quick… seem to spend a significant amount of time reloading mags :joy:

So sounds like you need more mags

I seem to be going through a CZ phase at the moment.

I’ve been wanting a nice timber stocked .22 plinker for a while. Something accurate, something a little bit fancy.

These popped up on special at nearly 30% discount.

Behold the CZ457 “MTR”. Put a zerotech 4.4-18x40mm scope on there. Will shoot it soon.

Stock is very nice, fit and finish is spot on, bolt cycles very nicely. Should be an accurate rifle.

Now, that I like!

Can see it being useful for training prone shooting.
