Nice one Dan! You’re really getting Into the knives these days hey, daggers are always hard to get the grinds right, looks bang on👌nice leatherwork too!
yous talk like a honorary country boy, hey, but?
Did I miss something?
Me being damn funny.
Don’t quit your day job to pursue a career as a comic
Chill Winston.
Aw, leave him alone @AusTac , he managed to put a pair of pants on without getting both feet in the one leg hole.
I’m sure his wife helped him!
I’ve been making terrariums and trying my hand at bonsai.
Sorry my photography skills end at dead rabbit next to old stupid shotgun!
Look at him nesting and making all sorts of pretties for the house & stuff, if i didn’t know better i’d say he must be in love…
They are very cool, you should look at selling them to help support your gun habit lol.
That is one big arse snail under the stump.
That’s the plan mate.
I’m setting up a small green/shadehouse to propagate plants and moss, and breeding up colony’s of springtails, millipedes, pillbugs and woodlouse. I really like the idea of bioactive terrariums, it’s sort of a scaled down version of what I was doing back in Vic with the fishtanks.
I’ve been out collecting native orchids and other stuff from the bush on my property, there are lots of struggling orchids clinging to burnt out trees or in spots that the fires stripped them of the canopy, shade and frost protection.
Hoping to have a bunch if stuff ready to go once we get back to normal so I can start doing some markets etc.
Those are Southern Melon Snails, I have a few colony’s of smaller native snails and fancy aquatic ones too, eventually I want to get back into fish breeding also.
I’ve always been a nerd with wierd hobby. Lol.
Latest one done, forged from 5160, 8.5" blade, hollow ground. Juma “Golden Dragon” scales, just need to make the sheath.
That’s beautiful mate!
Thanks man, it came up pretty good.
I reckon it’s the nices looking one you’ve made!
I had to look up what Juma was, for people like me , it’s a resin that’s formable in boiling water and is very durable and good for knives. Looks very good dan.
Finally got around to making the sheath for this knife. Had suggestions from other knife makers to do a snake-skin insert but went a different way. Made up a leather stamp to give this “scale” effect.
Great job on both, they look awesome mate.
