Funny gun ads, for the lolz

Not sure what you mean.

I’d rather buy new off these guys

Choosing April for your dry month rather than February only 28 days of Buuurnig watching the for sale adds.

Sorry dude. I’m still not following

I must have the snake by the wrong end. I thought you were having a month off from buying any firearms and were burning up as every day passes that you are tantalized with another gun for sale add . I seem to be reading some reference to that effect anyway.

He is but he is in denial lol

Oh, right, yes. Little bit of context would have been good. Yes, dry month! Not burning up though LOL

Nice 98

Yes, fired twice lol is that per gun or per owner lol. Can see pressure rings even on that shitty photo.

Nothing funny about these adds.
Does anyone know what the deal is with these guys cutting up so many nice old guns?

I’ve seen the same ad and again asked myself the same question. Like wtf. Just, whyyyyy.

It would want to be a good reason otherwise it’s plain retarded.

I wonder what their market is? By cutting them up you don’t need a license to buy them at least in Victoria

Someone gives you an unregistered gun or one they no longer want. You don’t want to put it on your books. Angle grinder time.
It sucks, but ordinary decent useful guns in less than excellent condition are worth SFA and are not worth the hassle to some of the shops.
Some of us have lots of older guns, but the majority of shooters particularly new shooters want one or two new guns. Others only want perfect guns.

I bought a couple of cut up Winchesters a couple of weeks ago, just for a sight elevator and a fore end screw. They were $30 each and I still have all the other bits.

I get that but I don’t see how this one dealer can end up with so many guns they cbf writing in the book, getting out the grinder seems like more work than banging a couple of numbers in the computer.
I’m sure the have to report what guns the cut up and dispose of anyway.

Either way it shits me to no end to see a cadet rifle Or a Aussie made sportco pump cut up.
These things are not getting made anymore!!! :persevere:

It only shits me half the amount, because Cadet - meh

Darn that. Doesn’t looking good… waste of a decently acceptable gun.

I reckon just will Jane nightmares if it was a semi auto like a 10/22 cut up

perhaps they also think that it is less useful guns in the market, so maybe more new guns will be bought. Who knows what their motivation is?
