Apple did the same, it got slipped in with the last update. It says it’s turned off and says you need to install the covid tracker for it to work…if you believe them.

I have checked my phone an older HTC android. I havent been able to find this google app? or any other thing that looks like this. The google location service are on which I dont really like as the agreement covers all things not just the one app like weather.

But these lockdowns that we have already had, and the ones that Victoria start again tonight. They really are the Claytons Lock-downs, I mean you are allowed to leave your home, for medical reasons (fair enough) to purchase food which can mean you can travel to a lockdown suburb or travel outside a suburb you are locked down in. You can travel outside the area for work or school, to care for someone and for exercise. I mean really how many other reasons are there that you leave your house normally for? To visit friends, eat out, or other social event. It really isnt stopping people from traveling that much.

Ive heard that they are fudging the numbers holding some back some days and then putting them all together on other days. The reason to justify implementing new restrictions, then a few days of lower numbers to give people that break from the shock rise and perhaps a sense of the new restriction is having a good outcome. or not wanting to scare people to much by several days of bad numbers. Better it goes up and down a bit people have short attention spans oh it was high yesterday but lower today all is good we are going in the right direction. A few days of low numbers then sneak in a day or two of high numbers then back down again rather than a steady high number. What is a high number? What will people accept without becoming startled? All taken into account and managed.
Which big retail companies are hitting the wall because of Covid? I haven’t thought long about it but none spring to mind.
The big corporates are the only ones doing well. I think the only real conspiracy is that the stimulus is designed to support large businesses.
Little guys who are just getting off the ground are screwed by it. We had to let go of all our employees and are now starting again. It’s quite frustrating.
I am not going to go into details here, but, that’s just not true, quite a lot of them.
In my industry it’s very true. Retail: pretty much the same.
