C-More Competition M26 shotgun does not fail Border Force appearance law test

We have seen Right To Information documents from Australian Border Force relating to the C-More Competition M26 straight-pull shotgun, which is the subject of potential recategorisation in Victoria.

Australian Border Force confirm the shotgun does NOT fall afoul of their (Commonwealth) appearance laws for import purposes. Per the RTI documents:

“The AFP compare the receiver when considering appearance based controls.
The receiver of the C-More M26 does not look like any fully-automatic firearm in production currently.”

The RTI documents also make explicit reference to Weapons Licensing in Queensland getting information from firearm dealer Facebook pages, so as always: Think before you post about gun stuff on social media!
