Sucks about the freezer but it’s better there than copping another whiff of it.

Seems like going bit overboard having to throw out the freezer. Not that I have ever had stuff in one really go bad. Just being plastic I would have thought they could be cleaned out disinfected sort of thing.
Perhaps I am a bit immune or something. I have had to move a few dead cows after a few days or weeks of decay. The smell, bloated, fly struck and all sorts of creepy crawlies everywhere horrible shit.

That smell impregnates the plastic
And goes into anything you keep in it afterwards.
It’s a side by side fridge freezer, it was putrid but also the power serge or what ever hit when the towers came down killed the fridge, it might be fixable but not smelling like that, lol
Got a free trip on a charter boat today for my daughter and I, sure beats going to work!

One bad thing about living in the NT: Jury duty.
Crime is off the charts here, and the population is tiny. The pool of eligible jury members to select from is even smaller. Its almost worth driving to Sunshine Coast for a month long holiday. Changing address, enrolling to vote, stockpiling reloading supplies, voting for suppressors and then returning to Darwin and not enrolling to vote ever again. I’ve just been selected for the eighth time in 20 years.
Seeing a lot of stuff here that can be branched off into own topics…
Encourage everyone to do that, as long as it’s related… Or I might lock the thread for a while
