Wow, Maryborough. That was like the big smoke when we lived in Avoca! My Dad owned the Goodfellows shop and I grew up there in the early 80s.

You really are from my part of the world. I grew up in Ballarat in the 90s but my mum grew up in Bealiba, just near Avoca. Small world.

Iām sitting in a maccas in Ballarat (not) doing homework because the big transmission lines came down in the storm and itās knocked out the power at home possibly till late tonight.

Yeah, phone is going spaz. Powerlines down, trees down all over the place, bushfires, grass fires, itās a bit hectic.
The wife and kid are coming into town, gunna go out for tea n stuff and hope they get it all sorted before bed time
