It’s pretty bad when you’re working on an old gun, scrubbing the bore with all sorts of solvents, only to realise that all of those odours have just been muted by the smell of your own fart.

I haven’t shot anything for the last two weekends because I haven’t been able to get out of town. Im going to the range tomorrow. In a way this makes me feel uncomfortable somewhat. Its like “you can’t get any real shooting so you have to go and use a paid service”
Yes, it feels like Im going to a brothel because “I’m not getting any”.
Does anyone else feel this way when they use the services of a range? Were you satisfied? How long did it last? Did you sit in the shower and cry afterwards feeling great shame?

Holy sticks it’s over $70 here.
I have absolutely no issues going to Little River. I don’t know about other states, but this is the main public range in Melbourne… And I’ve never had a bad day there.
Yeah, 9 with change, but $57 with change for handgun.
I only shoot at Little River, I’ve never shot anywhere else. When I get my shed built and guns moved up here I’ll shoot at SSAA Shepparton.

I get to go to quite a few ranges and mostly it is pretty structured shooting. But at the home range on a lot of weekends if you want to do something a bit different there are no issues. A lot of people think that the target rifle guys are really strict and there are a few and then there are the old boys that really enjoy guns and all sorts come out and get shared around. We have some pretty informal novelty days as well. It really feels like a social fun shoot most of the time. You certainly get to have a lot of gun time available so never feel like your “not getting enough”
