I don’t know if GP was a KF’r but more importantly to me, Ken Block is no longer. He was a hero to grass roots motorsports junkies, motorkhana and amateur rally racers the world over. At the turn of the century, the Rally Association of Darwin was REAL grassroots rural outfit full of characters and life and people who would volunteer their spare time to anyone with the slightest interest of getting a Datsun 120/180/SSS/240Z/STANZA or a KE30 Corolla, Supra, Celica, even wierdos with Sigmas, Minis, Hilux’s and Toranas were taken into the fold. All you had to do was watch Ken Block VHS and DVD’s, go to the Darwin City Council auctions and buy your $70 first race car!
We had tow truck drivers to helpo you bring it over to Lumpy’s place where the interior was stripped and usuallyh burnt. A roll cage welded in. Isuzu truck shocks were ifitted and you had to save some coin for a set of rally tyres. There was so many cool annual races always dedicated to Ken Block or Possum Bourne or some other hero. He was like our Buddah. Every month had a Sunday of rip snorting triple stromberg datraly fun. RIP Ken.

Yeah it was sad to hear about Ken Block, at least he died going fast, I don’t imagine he would of wanted to die in his sleep!

Wow, license suspensions drop to zero after we stop giving out license suspensions. How is that a media release, our gov is just terrible. They haven’t done anything to stop the original offence from occurring.

Glad he’s dead. A friend of mine is a victim of his co conspirators. We threw stones at him when he was at the Skipton st. church Ballarat, as we rode our bikes past as kids. Rest in Hell C#NT!
