Thought you guys might get a laugh out of this paper.
They basically loaded up some tardigrades (Kinda like dust mites?) onto plastic rounds and shot them out of a gun at solid targets to see what kind of impacts they could survive. Got some decent velocities as well - 825 m/s was still resulting in survival.
Best part is that this is actual legit science work, because it helps figure out if we’ve accidentally introduced life on other planets and moons through our junk colliding with their surface.

So, if anyone is bored and wants to assist PETA in “harmlessly catching mice for release elsewhere”, I’ve got an abundant supply for you.
Here’s an example of some of the damage they have done in my cropping paddocks. Every one of those little holes did have seed in it, not any more, little fuckers dig it up and eat it. Hopefully I can get my hands on some of the newly approved, more potent poison and then re-sow. I wonder if PETA will assist me with costs?

You gonna put it on tonight for tomorrow or are you gonna put it on super early in the morning? Thats what I love about smoking. Hours and hours of tending the fire and sitting on my arse with a few brews. Its kind of like camping without leaving the back yard. The smells, the peace. Mmmm.

So…err…what wood are you using? You gonna go custom rub or something off the shelf?
I use pallet smokers… I came to a conclusion that most rub stuff is bullshit, it’s just salt, pepper, brown sugar and paprika. The rest I am convinced does nothing. I generally just mix my own, unless I have left overs of random shit, in which case I’ll use that. I do make my own glazing/BBQ sauce though. Usually Habanero Cola BBQ sauce.
