Bored shit-posting

Ohhh just f*ck my shit up bro! Come on man, my week cant get much worse! Dont make me put on my colored hat…

Just wait for the specials and buy 20,000 rounds of nice shiny factory stuff like us ̶l̶a̶z̶y̶ smart people. It comes ready to shoot & packed in nice little boxes and everything.

Please give us a “heads-up” when you find these specials.

Will do, it’s usually through Cleavers when they have specials on but sometimes i get to buy straight from Nioa @ wholesale through a mates shop when they bulk buy to help boost their numbers lol.
Last couple of bulk buys through cleavers i got 127gn Fed syntech for $18.50 per 50 & later at $21 and $20 per 50, and i got some Winchester 147gn for $18 per 50. So not quite as good as reloading but still pretty cheap especially for the Syntech. I’m told the Winchester is a bit dirty but haven’t tried it yet so can’t comment.

It’s pretty cheap for commercial ammo… But not everyone has a mate with a shop to buy wholesale direct from distributor. Like old fellas saying that this box of 30cal projectiles was $15. Yeah, in 1901 maybe. Anyway, it’s going to get spicy with bulk ammo too. My only hope is that the panic bulk buyers will stop and market will be oversupplied. However, talking about exactly the same thing last night to few older guys at the club who experienced this before, supply comes back, prices don’t.

True about the wholesale, but i think your comparison of 120 year old prices is a bit out of whack. Like i said many of my purchases are from Cleavers which were also the ones i provided those prices for. So yes, anyone can get those prices when they’re on offer, even in this century.

But like i said, i’ll post them when i see them come up for those who are interested. :slightly_smiling_face:

@JSS don’t take it as me disagreeing… Just hard for folks outside QLD to make it financially viable. Although, last time people chipped in for shipping and made it worth it… All doable.

I bought a 1000 rounds of 38spl hollow point semi jacket. It was made in Australia, from Winchester I think. Came in a box, loose.

Would that stuff be okay for Service Match? It $450 in Darwin about two or three years ago.

Its like police and media play a game of 2 player chinese whispers and still cant win.

As a recently reactivated pistol shooter, this is what worries me. Given I still have some waiting period to go, I can probably sit out the shortage, but I’m not liking the idea of ongoing grossly overinflated prices when supply reasserts itself. I don’t use much hunting ammo so I typically buy factory for that use, but even prices for that have gone stupid over the last 3 years i.e. before demand peaked and supply crashed… sigh

I particularly like this line… “Duck hunting is banned in all Australian states and territories except South Australia, Tasmania, the Northern Territory and Victoria.”

I laughed at that exact line.

Went shooting at Springvale today. The lightened trigger was nice, but I don’t think it did much in terms of improving my group size or anything.

I was talking to the range officer, and apparently 17 HMR and 22 WMR have been approved for use at Springvale now. They just recently got the permits for it.

I think I have Whooping Cough (pertussis). Ive had this badass cough for four months now. A couple of times the coughing has been so bad Ive kinda vomited up a whole lot of clear saliva and the airways make that funny errrrppppp sound on inhaling.

Should probably see a doctor and get some steroids.

I got this little inhaler type thing, looks like a buttplug. Terbutaline sulfate. Chemist said it helps and my lord does it open a tight…airway.

Spoke to lots of customers reporting the same symptoms: nasty flu the first week, then six to eight weeks or more of a cough that wont go away.

And based on your previous comment, just to be helpful, you are consuming the inhaler orally, yes? Because you should if you want it to work.

Yes, once it empty though all bets are off.

Now, this might seem like a shitpost but…drinking a few stouts seems to totally work to prevent the coughing spasms. I guess it relaxes the irritable nerves in the lungs.

A bit of Port or bourbon at night will help. Best to take it while sitting by a fire after a day of shooting.
