I only carry 3 round with me, that will do.
I’d rather have and not need, than need and not have my friend but most hunters carry a similar amount
I carry 4 (magazine), if I am with 308, how many do you carry, I am afraid to ask…

I carry 1 loaded mag, 3 rounds of 180gn .30-06 ammo. That will do for Sambar deer.
I’m the same, I used to carry 4 - 2 years ago, but last year I carried 3 because I shot 1 two years ago lol

Depends what gun and what i’m up to @juststarting but say i go out with my .308 it’ll be a loaded mag and whats left of the box at the least 
if its not hunting it turns into a target shooting excursion

I’m just as bad, I carry 20 rounds at least when hunting and still feel like i’m skimping, go’s back to Army mentality when I was expected to carry up to 700 rounds when waling.

Nope, no 300 WSM in my safe but I was given a 300 Win Mag but sold it to a mate for half retail pricing. The only one I have in that power range is a Mk.5 Accumark 300 Weatherby Magnum. There’s 30-30, 308, 338Lap and a few other 30 somethings. Next up on “The List” is a 7mm RSAUM 
then my other secret project should arrive by Christmas

Was out exploring the other week and came across a wild dog ( unarmed at the time ), this one was a puppy but usually when there’s one there’s more, i got outta there pretty quick lol,
fox whistling or deer hunting normally only take three perhaps four rounds in the mag.
308 It’s pretty efficient but as you go bigger and pursue more speed increase in power requirements becomes almost exponential. e.g. Lots of powder burned for only a little gain in velocity.
