What I did in guns this week.

Yep agree totally! A club that always does, what it always did, is destined for destruction, I believe.

Yeah you need to be a club s l u t to keep things interesting with cat H. I use half a dozen clubs including a couple of private ranges. Pistol people seem to be more cliquey than rifle people, & shotgun folks are the friendliest & most chilled mob in my experience.

Just the backyard plink for me. It doesnt seem noteworthy enough to even post about it. The pressure I feel I need to upgrade the range to Hickok45 standard before it becomes a post worthy effort with a pics and a video of course.

I don’t mind your range. I mean, everyone needs more gongs… But I like it. Should definitely post more on it.

Every club in history of mankind. You’re just part of a gun club, so that’s what you see, but this describes every ‘interest group’ so to speak, across all sports and interests.

Yep… Lockdown…

We did our annual long range plink this weekend. Kinda set up to give customers of my mates business to use the toys he makes them. Target ranges from 400m to 1600m. Even mr silhouette got a mrs.

40+mm of rain made it a bit soggy the first day but yesterday was good. Got to give my new garmin foretrex a run, Pretty happy with it. Put out about 300 rounds between my 6.5, 308 and 300.

That mobile shooting platform! Everyone needs one! I need one like that hehehehe

When I was about 20 I joined the Geelong field naturalists society, you wanna see cliquey turn up to their meeting as a fucktard stoner on a skateboard and try to spark up a convo with David Attenborough and Prince Charles look alikes. They all instantly decided I was just there to steal their binoculars and no one would even speak to me. Lol.

It was very good given the rain we had, Saved having to roll around in the mud.

Did some touch up bluing, with the G96 brand blue chemical…Its the bomb!! Birchwood Casey is completely useless in comparison…Application is easier, blends in better when touching up…

Honestly haven’t done anything with guns for a couple weeks now tbh. Been completely holed up with uni work.

Am thinking to take the No.5 apart sometime and try and get all the stamps identified though. Been tempted to buy a couple of Skennerton’s books to help.

Had a good week, spent an hour or two during the week with the A22. Shot a comp on Saturday badly, then had fun on Sunday shooting some S&W revolvers, a PC Charger, Uberti black powder, and a couple of other .22 and 9mm.
The black powder was a hoot and the revolvers felt and shot very finely.
Managed to tighten up my grouping in 9mm so I’m happy with that too.

Was the Uberti a cap n ball revolver? They are so nice to shoot!

So how many pair did you end up with?

That’s a pisser

It was, the 1851 Navy. The trigger was just so easy, and no recoil. Real fun and gotta love that smell.
