Victoria set to waive handgun participation requirements for the rest of the year

FOLLOWING our letter to Victoria’s Firearms Licensing and Regulation Division yesterday, we have been contacted by senior staff at the registry to acknowledge our request and confirm they are in the process of drawing up documents for official approval to waive handgun participation requirements for the remainder of the year.

This is an excellent and common-sense outcome for licensed competition pistol shooters in Victoria, who will now be able to focus on getting through the lockdown period without stressing about range attendance requirements.

As soon as we hear, we will let you know when the official announcement is made - but in the meantime, law-abiding shooters appear to have one less thing to worry about.

Nice work, about time those poor Mexican buggers got a bit of good news for a change.

Now, if only I could go get some bloody trigger time. Getting withdrawals.

Same here. I got a range trip in between lockdowns. The curfew thing truly sucks ass.
Good result for common sense though.
