If you want to keep your job and for whatever reason you can’t/won’t/haven’t vaccinated, don’t say you aren’t getting vaccinated. Tell them that you are a sensible person, but your medical procedure history is private (never say you aren’t getting the vaccine). Invasion of privacy is one of the worst unfair dismissal claims to defend as a big corporation.
Also don’t forget to give you dog/cat/lizard extra cuddles and pats. Roll around in the backyard dirt for a bit. You are all missing tonnes of microbes from constantly social distancing and sterilising your hands and breathing through a mask. You are all unhealthy by being so clean.

A couple of mates of mine in the medical industry said there are already doctors out there signing people off as being jabbed who haven’t been & don’t want it but need the “proof of vax” for work or whatever reasons.
Can’t blame them really, when you try to force people to do something they’ll find a way around it i guess.

@JSS That’s pretty good of them. There are some other ways around it but I don’t think @juststarting would appreciate them being disseminated here - and they wouldn’t work as well as having a doc sign off for you!
We have had to sack one of if not our best workers so we can continue to operate as a company.
The understanding is he will be rehired once sanity resumes.
This is someone who has no onsite work or contact who has to be sacked so that others can work onsite…Because 100% of workforce must be vaccinated.

Mine’s just dropping hints like “Let us know as soon as you’re vaccinated!” every second day or so…after asking people to comment on their thoughts on the vaccine. Hahaha nice try.

I admit that I’m coming to this discussion rather late, but I won’t admit to being entirely uninformed.
Nor would I claim to be and will reject outright any assertion that I be called an “anti-vaxer”. But I do read a lot and listen to other points of view. Some would say that merely listening to others casts me as anti-vax.

Sad to hear about the special moments with kids that you’ve missed mate. I feel your pain. I missed my lads March out parade. It was one thing we had in common, something I’d been looking forward to since he joined, an unfortunately mate, like those milestone birthdays, you only get one shot at it.
