TasPol have banned a number of the Berika straight-pull shotguns under the “Looks Like An Automatic Weapon” clause of the state’s Firearms Act.
SU Tasmania has written to the Police Minister and Police Commissioner demanding which automatic gun the Berikas allegedly represent, how that determination was made, and how come TasPol is trying to ban a gun which has been cleared for import by Border Force under the same criteria?
