Hello Guys,

Well I’m pushing 60 (which was a bit of a shock birthday over Christmas because I still feel 30 and haven’t got grey hair yet! ) Don’t know where the last 20 years went but it sure went fast…

I’m am a gun advocate who has been around guns most of my life. I believe that every young man needs to learn to shoot, just like in Finland and Norway. It’s only a matter of time before we will need to defend our sun-burnt country. I enjoyed army cadets as a youngster. Got to fire the Bren gun, SLR L1A1, 303’s and F1 machine gun. So I thoroughly enjoyed that during high school.

Retired early due to work injuries which was a bit of a bummer. But I’m still here and having fun shooting and do a bit of reloading on my Dillon XL for fun and $$ savings.

So that is a short background without boring you all to death

Welcome @BlackDog I’m pretty jelly right now, the Bren gun is one of my dream guns.
And yeah your right, we are slowly gearing up to invade, I mean bring democracy to Western Australia! Lol

Yes, its an amazingly accurate machine gun. (A cow apparently strayed onto the range that day and someone shot the bloody thing. I didn’t see it, just heard about it. I guess they paid the farmer off.)

I missed out on firing the M60 which was a bummer. I didn’t win the lottery and had to stand and watched the lucky dude blow the crap out of the mini range. Now that would have been FUN!!!

Yeah M60 would of been fun. I’ve done some belt fed action, but there’s just something special about the Bren gun.

It’s OK @BlackDog we still have a few years before they can try to cross the border. they need more fire power first and then need to learn to aim and shoot straight first.
The problem with the young fellas now days is they have plenty of enthusiasm but lack the ability…
