How much do you think you’ve spent on the new room and set up?
If you don’t mind me asking.
If my wife asks it’s about $5k but without the pistols it will be close to $20k.
That includes brickwork, electrical and building the bench plus all the goodies.
I have not added it all up yet (I am sure the wife will lol) but it would be around there somewhere give or take a couple of grand.
Nice, I can’t wait to see it all up and running.
I have mood music and wet wipes ready to go. No pressure.
nice. lots of new toys to play with.
if you’re tumbling and want clean pockets I found having a spare toolhead with a lee universal decapping die comes in handy. can deprime cases really quickly loading up the case feeder before dumping them in the tumbler.
if you’re loading between small and large primers I’ve also found getting a second entire primer assembly (https://www.dillonprecision.com/xl-650-primer-system-parts_8_45_25389.html) saves a bit of time. just two screws to remove the large one and swap out for a small rather than having to take the unit apart to swap out the disk.
Hopefully it turns out as planned. If not I will still be happy with it and will have new toys to play with.
That was my plan to deprime before tumbling. I have an extra press so will use that in the short term with the Lee universal die.
@Gwion, a bit of both. Getting into pistols as well so getting setup for that plus stocking up on projectiles etc.
And (I am going to blame @AusTac and you) with all this talk of long range shooting/rifles I am toying with the idea of getting one as well.

not a pic I know, but these look like they could be fun!
I like this bit… “Useful for marking cattle, calves to cows and vegan protesters etc”
You should load a few up to paint the van at plinkfest. Or just to shoot at JS so you can find him in the dark.
Mmmmm, oil.
they are selling .69 rubber balls too, they would be good for moving vegans along!
…and testing new toy, review soon. I couldn’t make my mind up about mounting. Something safe, away from face and comfortable. This accounts for additional holes on. Made a number of mounting points, in case I change my mind. Which is a benefit of having things mounted on planks, rather than directly to the bench or vise.
Got to love new toys.
And I finally got the Carcano gear going, so thought I’d quickly load some. Had original milsurp bullets left over from dead rounds… Recycled those with Trail Boss behind them.
