The guns used in the Korean War were Soviet-made examples supplied to the Chinese under the Sino-Russian Friendship/Mutual Assistance Programme; that included giving the Chinese the equipment to make their own guns, including M44s (the Type 53), but as the name suggests those weren’t in service (1953) until well after the Korean War.
