Why would you surrender cadet actions?

m8 never sold a action (re pta) or brl or been asked for either, they dont wear out only rust. too hard to remove brls and havent got gear. screws out of sights and bit of gas torch and melt solder, they fall off. surrender and move on. they know me by name in at plods where i take them. just the way it is.
ben if you want an action and brl ill send you one. need dealer and pta. but youll then need all the other bits for the 5.7x28 conversion. so 2 complete cadets if we proceed. look into it re cost, one each. need new brl chambered to suit. what costs involved. is it feasible? whats a pta cost over there and dealer fees.you do or use a smith…or are we dreaming. 5.7x28 cadet be the only ones about i say.
I have a mate that’s a dealer, I still pay him, but he looks after me. PTA is free in NSW with a DVA card.
As for the rest, I’ll do some research on barrels etc.
I have a nice 222rimmed and a 357 barrel I want swapped onto it already.
Let me look into how feasible it is.
do you want me to send you this action in the pics here im doing rust test on. i would cut brl off and leave 6" for removal if that suits. make smaller to post. use for one of those brl build ups. or ill surrender it ?. ive got stuff to post tomorrow so holla y/n and i will sort and post. your m8 dealer could hold for you till needed or pta it.

Neat. How long was it applied for? Like i can see obvious differences, which would be a lot of manual work, for sure. Also a bit of rust left over. Wondering how long did you soak it for or was it brushed on, etc.?
painted on smalll brush, 12 hrs’ish, just washed off with water and dried. yes tooth brush into hollows and work on rusty areas would be better
