@GUN-DMC that comment you made in another thread about feeling like the dumbest person in the room well this thread and the other What the ? confirms to me I know didly squat when it comes to guns.

Now that looks like an oldie and could be the first of it’s kind.
I think @no1mk3 is the only one playing these games off the top of his head, most of us are using our powers of Google fu to figure out what many of these are.
I have learnt so much though this game in particular, but the other one also .
Trawling through page after page of weird gun pics trying to find what ever one leads you to so many other discovery’s in the world of random guns.

Yes its an anti tank rifle.
And he probably has most of them in his collection.
The problem that I found with Google is that while looking for the mystery gun you see something that looks interesting so you click on that and then another and another and before long have forgotten about the mystery gun.
I have found stuff that I didn’t even know existed before.
Nope, took a one look at it and knew what it was, bipod alone gives it away 
Have fired one of these, brutal thing it is. The bipod is the hardest bit to find as MG collectors usually grab them first, (they have more money!)
There was one for sale last year that had been rebarreled to 50 bmg.
So is anyone going to identify it? Mauser…
This game has turned into a game of hinting that you know what it is without giving it away.

Might be a soft load. They did have a reputation, and the guy I knew in the 80’s with one of these and a Boy’s said there wasn’t much between them recoil wise.
Mate, I would argue that one! Perhaps he loaded sensibly, but the Boys has inbuilt recoil reductions that the other doesn’t and I found a deal of difference between them. My friend re-barrelled his to 50BMG to save the original barrel and it wasn’t much worse. Still shoot the Boys if I’m offered, but I don’t think I will shoot the other, been there and done that!
Well I missed my chance to fire either, so your knowledge being 1st hand is obviously better.
Now if I’d had the same build as I do now back then I would have given them a go.
