I think so, but also polish with a touch of South America thrown in.
Polish secret weapon with a South American cover story captured by the Germans and Hungarians and in turn used by the Italians and Finns?
Japanese.
Sorry all, I may have lied. It’s not German but was chambered in a gun that makes you think German, it’s Polish.
Around 6500 were made, of which most were destroyed in 1939 to stop the falling into german hands.
Could it be the 7.62 x 99 otherwise known as the 50.30?
No mate, but both those numbers are in the ballpark
Was it designed in 1935 by any chance?
I do believe so mate
If it is what I think it is the “rifle” held 4 rounds and burnt the barrel out after 300 rounds.
I will see if anyone else has an idea.
300 Rounds sounds like a really short barrel life, but when you consider that its maybe 50 practice shots, then up to 250 shots at heavily armored tanks shooting back at you…Now that is a short life.
Is it a 7.92 x 107?
7.92 yes but not 107
lol, we it must be the other one, 7.92 x 94?
Thats the one mate!
Looks like you’ve had case head separation and trying to do, “it’s still good, it’s still good”.
Pretty much lol
Is it larger than .38?
surprisingly yes it is.
