Game: Guess that cartridge

is it a 25-20?

Sorry not that one.

Is it a .22cal?

No slightly bigger.

.25 caliber?

Yep but which one lol

Just taking one for the team.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::sunglasses:

OK, so we know it’s a .25 cal. It is chambered in pistol, lever action and carbine…

Is it an obsolete cart, or can you still buy them?

You can still get them in small numbers but most make them from the parent case which is readily available .

I thought they discontinued this in the '90’s?

@no1mk3 , Winchester stopped in the early 90’s but you can still find ammo , found some loaded with 60, 75 85 and 87g projectiles.

OK, to make it easier the cartridge can be fire in either a carbine, lever action and a handgun.
Firearms were made by a couple of manufacturers who have since stopped making them. One manufacturer who had a custom shop were also making them until they closed in 2010.
Now they are only offered as a chambering by custom manufacturers of single-shot firearm barrels.

OK, it was designed/made in America in 1960 and was designed for small game and varmints.
A factory load shot from a pistol with an 8.5 inch barrel had a muzzle velocity of 2350fps.

Ok this has gone on long enough.
Is it 256 win mag?
A 357mag case necked down to take a .25 pill.

It sure is… expensive to run, $68USD for 50 rounds.
you had me worried there for awhile.

It looks like it has been formed from a different cartridge.

I don’t think so, its factory!
