Value of 1967 Australian Dollars today

$11 in 1967

$147.02 in 2020

The inflation rate in Australia between 1967 and today has been 1,236.52%, which translates into a total increase of $136.02. This means that 11 dolars in 1967 are equivalent to 147.02 dolars in 2020 . In other words, the purchasing power of $11 in 1967 equals $147.02 today. The average annual inflation rate has been 4.92%.

So the ammo is roughly the same comparatively.

Still a good price for it at $147

A very good price for the rifle.

I’d rather a 303 than one of these, even scoped.

Find it interesting that the Sporter Model was more valuable back then. I guess that rifle would have been much more useful which I suppose was what people wanted back then.

In the early - mid 80s my dad would buy a milsurp every pay day for 10 - 20 bucks from a shop in Melb that were importing them.

Math is not my strong suit, what’s the inflation rate work out to for an $11 rifle now selling for $800 - 1200?
