I think Australia was using cardboard cases for our SG loads during WW2.
I canât find any reference to an Australian ww2 shotgun, what did they have @Wombat? Youâve sparked my interest now any links or info you can share?
Iâm only going off what I was told when buying a round at a show a long time ago, but some research tonight shows me that that may have been English issue.
It looks like in the 50âs and 60âs they were using Savage Stevens and Winchester Mod 97 pump actions.
It could be that they supplied ammunition to home Guard units during WW2 and there was no officially issued shotgun then.
Not really a funny or stupid add (didnât think it really needed itâs own thread), but who else can see the Browning BAR in this gun?
Are these Turks badge engineering these shotguns or are there really that many Turkish shotgun manufacturers with the same ideas?
Yeah I wondered that, seems to be a new Turkish shotgun company coming to Australia every week now days.
They are the same companies, maybe 2 or 3, the importers are the ones who brand them.
Thatâs what my own research into the various Turkish shotguns has come up with too. Basically seems to be the modern version of The Gun Trade, whereby in the 19th and 20th century gun makers would sell the guns to individual retailers (be it Army & Navy Co-Operative Stores or Sears-Roebuck or whoever), who would put their own brand and it and sell them onto the public.
Ahh, thank you.
I might have to go and have a look at it when I fly back from work.
What he means by âas new- unfiredâ is actually fired once and it scared the shit out of him!
I know, because I have one too!
Too light? Or scope eye?
Guns to light for the 3 inch magnum sabot slugs itâs made for.
Mine needs a better recoil pad and a thumbhole boyds stock wouldnât go astray either.
Yeah, I saw that today and thought, what is wrong with youâŚ
That right there is a genuine reason to cancel someones gun licence.
