Interesting, even though some states (NSW) would never allow it I reckon
Which begs the question…
Why would civilians suddenly need to be more familiar with it?

There’s a huge gap in the ready market, 100% what @bentaz said. Selling not only AU made, but made by Australians for Australians, huge benefits. Not just manufacturing jobs but supprot, iteration of a product, etc. Huge win win for everyone.

Its all those ancillary jobs that people forget about when out costing/sourcing. The supply chain is a long and messy thing at times.
