During the evacuation at Dunkirk there must have been lots of rifles, bren guns etc left behind with Ammunition.
I’ve never heard of any with Nazi markings existing. Did they put them into service or destroy them? Perhaps they were sent to allies (of the Nazis).

They were re-issued by Germany to reserves and home guard, as well as colonial troops. They did not re-stamp the weapons but simply issued them out, Cheers
