Does First Permit To Acquire Have to Match First Rifle?

Hey all,

I sent off my first Permit to Acquire off with my License Application so that they both get cleared in the same 28 day period.

On the Permit to Acquire, I wrote Howa 1500 in 6.5 Creedmoor. However I’m now leaning towards a Tikka T3X Varmint in 6.5CM because I like the bolt a lot better and I’ll eventually upgrade the stock to something MDT.

Anyway, am I going to run into issues for changing brands? Or would I just have to get a second permit to acquire which only takes a few minutes? Or does the rifle purchased have to match up to the permit?

Cheers.

Calibre needs to match. Usually. That’s about it.

Awesome I won’t panic then, cheers

No panic required.

Gday, not sure which state you’re in but here in QLD you only have to put down the calibre and action on the PTA.
There’s spaces for make/model, serial number etc but they’re not required.
