The new border signs for Victoria have arrived, now we just have to wait.
If you havenât seen them, https://newmatilda.com/ is good quality journalism. Unfortunately, they have closed down multiple times over the last few years. As it turns out, people will complain about a lack of quality journalism but arenât willing to pay for it.
Will have a look, thanks mate.
I left my circular saw with Dad the last time I was down in Victoria. Sort of on purposeâŚso I could get myself a cordless one. I went in to Total Tools this arvo.
-
Since when did they start putting the blade on the left side? I was shocked. I mean how are you supposed to like, cross your left arm over if you need to use both hands? At the same time, how cool is having the weight of the saw off the waste cut for a change?

NEVER TALK ABOUT THIS IN STORE. Staff and customers are still throwing each other through the shop windows and police have called in SWAT.
They are aptly named ââTotal Toolsââ Iâve tried to buy stuff up here and canât find anyone with any knowledge of their products, one instance was i asked for an extended socket , answer was , ââlike is that one that fits different sizesââ
My local one is not so bad, Sydney tools sent me there after they didnât have the weird sized large AF impact socket I needed ,they had it and knew what I was talking about.
I think the older you get the more Idiots you meet, makes me wonder what I was like when I was youngerâŚ
Watching that I was thinking this guy is scared of the recoil on this gun. He is going to have a bit of a flinch. Then he pulls the trigger OMG he has good cause to be worried about shooting that gun. So much for follow through just hanging on to the gun seems to be an accomplishment. You can only wonder what sort of accuracy he could be possibly achieving.
Holy bloody hell that thing would be like trying to hang onto a mule.
So whoâs doing what, because I am pretty bored!
Aus Arms Auction is tomorrow, so Iâve just been looking at the listings of all the pretty gats.
Pity that Chinese Mosin is going for an extreme price though.
Please donât say gat - thereâs only one person I know who says gat and we banished him to WA.
Almost as if you told him to âgatâ out of here.
You cunny funt.
p.s. 9/10 I loled.
In the Northern Territory, we have a law that applies to purchasing take away alcohol that says you must provide a certain type of identification card that is scanned against whatâs called the âBanned Drinker Registerâ.
The type of IDs include Drivers Licence (foreign and domestic), NT shooters licence, Passport (foreign and domestic), and Proof of Age (NT) and Keypass (domestic).
Absolutely everyone has to provide this ID, whether you are local or interstate Australian or a foreigner or Victorian.
If you get in trouble that results in an alcohol related arrest three times in a year (say, you went clubbing and got in a drunken fight), you cop 3 months on the register. This means, you canât legally buy any take away alcohol anywhere in the NT. You can still go to the bar, but not the bottleshop.
You can end up on the BDR through court, parole, sentencing and bail orders at their discretion. Itâs possible to be referred by a carer or a family member too.
You will automatically be added to the register of you commit the following:
1 mid range Drink Drive offence
2 low level Drink Drive offences
Is this a form of social credit masquerading as sentencing?
When I was asked for ID when purchasing a take away carton, I assured them I was over 18. They laughed at me and explained the deal in the NT. They went on to ask me where I would be consuming the beer. In the park was not a suitable answer even though it was just in jest.
So if I had a habit of punching people people when Iâm drinking I would be forced to drink in public in a target rich environment, instead of at home with the mate I wouldnât punch?
Makes perfect sense, lol!
But if youâre in the habit of punching people and there was no one else around youâd probably end up punching your mate
I see your point, though.
