37 degrees at 8.30pm. God I love aircons
not looking forward to the heat over there!
You will get used to it.
Though in your case working outside will not be much fun.
In the last 3 weeks we have averaged 42 degrees per day at work, but the worst is yet to come.
I’m a teacher and am holidays tomorrow thank god. Going to be 44 here tomorrow. Get up, throw on the air con, don’t move.
best plan possible.
What do you teach?
Senior secondary in Vic so mainly VCE subjects. History and Legal Studies and then some lower level Humanities and English.
You’re a brave man, I can hardly get through a day with my own teenagers let alone a whole bunch of them.
Ahhh VCE. Now theres three letters I havent heard in 22 years
What part of Victoria do you teach, if youndont mind sharing?
Edit: Its almost 1am and its still 30 degrees and 66% humidity. My balls…are extra vinegary.
Up in the North of the state, near Shepparton. My wife is also a teacher (at a different school) and we love it. The kids are usually fine. A far bigger pain in the rear is the parents and the office politics.
I think the whole country’s gunna have vinigary balls today
It’s a lovely 24 here in Brisbane at 7:10.
It’s gunna be 46 at home in Victoria today, I think my dog may finally die today.
I thought that you would have taken him with you.
Just heading home, it’s a little hot between the buildings lol
IMO, Teaching is one of those professions that are not fully appreciated. Like nursing, police, CFA, Drs and a fair few others that contribute to society way beyond their wage rate. They deserve our respect.
Want to go shooting.
PS @juststarting even the computer has trouble spell checking some of my stuff. When are the going to come up with grammar checkers? Nerds and tradies didn’t get taught much English at the schools I went too. Luckily I was like really good at electronics at the right time.
