Is there a good method for pricing surplus ammo? Something like 70% of factory prices? Not for collection purposes, but more as lead to plink out?
Negotiating with a dude atm to buy some Bulgarian surplus 7.62 rimmed, and he’s offering 200 rnds for $260. Trying to figure out if it’s fair or not.
Yeah, you negotiate and who ever is better at it wins 
That’s the formula.
- Cases are not reloadable.
- It is VERY dirty.
- It is VEEEERY hot (like yeah hot, even for me, no need to abuse the gun like that).
- It is corrosive.
So $1.30 a round, that’s really expensive.
P.S.
Centreway, I am sure he can hook you up with normal factory ammo at reasonable price that is not going to take your face off, damage your gun and still have usable brass. “Cheap plinking milsurp ammo” may have been a thing but it’s not good and it’s not cheap and so it has no value (other than collecting).

Yeah, I wasn’t sure if $26 for 20 was stiff or not, seeing that fresh factory ammo runs about $35 to $40 a box the last time I bought some.
It’s been a while since I’ve visited Centreway, but I can’t remember them having loads of different calibres. Somehow had no 303, but loads of 7.5 Swiss. I’ll give them a buzz tomorrow though.
I think you are at a point where you should start consider reloading Nice little single stage press. Bam!

Honestly, probably yes, but I think I’ll hold off till I’m a bit more steady in terms of location for career. I’m probably going to need to relocate interstate, or even overseas for dream job.

My day was fucked too, but not knowing why you’re day was fucked mine probably just sounds like whining.
I had trucks breaking down, me forgetting a tonne of shit and finish the day off by leaving my clothes bag back on site once i got back to camp.
It’s why i never travel on Monday’s.
