Just a heads up: Im seeing batches of old AS50N (shotgun flake version of AP50N) being offered for sale. Mostly five years old plus, it still smells sweet and syrupy. I bought a couple of cartons.
It meters very well out of my Dillon small powder bar thrower and I shot 89 loads of it on Sunday with just one light primer strike which was my fault for not cycling the gun properly at Service Match. Good smelling, regular fouling nothing out of the ordinary except mine were a bit too spicy.
That said, you’d want to be shooting plenty of matches to use it all up in time. They say 10 years at 25 degrees celsius but lots of these are up at Queensland so proceed with caution.
