im trying to buy cz515 etc from west aust for mates. im only dealer and get these shit jobs. as get closer to end of month d day for the poor buggers over there will come.and prices dropping daily. so had some ive contacted say they would rather pay $400 and have dealers do rules inoperable and put in man cave. my question : would they still need to have some sort of paper work/permission. or as our rules (if it looks like its a gun its a gun) would it need to be stored in a safe not on wall in wa. or even keep it.
I don’t know under the new rules, but I believe they were pretty liberal about that like they are in QLD.
Deactivated firearms are not treated as firearms under WA laws. The gunsmith has to issue a cert to wapol that they have done it and then it gets removed off the license. It’s a good idea to keep the paperwork but in reality it isn’t needed. You can give rendered firearms to anyone without a licence.
I have a 303 on my wall in the theatre.
If l understand your question correctly Yes , l brought a 303 from Barry’s firearms in Perth and it rwas rendered l mounted in a frame with solilders on the pyramid picture there was no paperwork at that time over 20 years ago the police have come to check my gun safe, they just said what an amazing picture …
