I would seem that cats are even more useless that perhaps we previously thought. They don’t seem to like eating rats!
Must be fought rats or wimpy cats. The cooks old girl normally gets one or two a week even though she has a bell around her neck.
Most of the farms out this way that have a good water source (river etc) have a problem with feral cats and foxes.
Bad for them but good for shooters.
There’s a reason there are a lot of healthy rats in New York. I strongly suspect that this is the same reason those cats prefer other food. I don’t think it’s a comparable ecosystem…
