Hi I’m after 303/25 projectiles and cases if available
Any reloading gear
Any gunshop should have .257 projectiles, 87 to 100grain suits the case best.
Cases can sometimes be found, mostly resized 303 brass, I think I got some from Rebel for an uncle of mine.
You can resize standard 303 brass yourself but I believe you need a forming die.
I’ve reformed brass, just aneal it and run it through the 303-25 sizing die, trim and you’re good.
I also think I might have a set of dies out in the shed.
Do you still need them mate?
I have a CBE 95gn cast bullet mold, if you cast your own.
Ol’ mate hasn’t been back since his first post…
Yeah strange…cant be too keen. I thought OL Skippy was seeing a comeback, but its not. Took me months to get $250 for my scoped Sportco, and i had about 6 tyre kickers! Glad to see it go in the finish. I think people cant be bothered with the brass forming.
Well you got to admitt it would be a pain in the arse basically wearing out good components just to make a few new components. Its all cost too.
On the flip side, people buy the formed brass…sold that in a flash!
I’ve always had a preference of sizing up rather than down when it comes to forming brass, I’m not into neck turning, that extra brass has to go somewhere.
By the way Ben, it’s spelt Creedmoor.
Don’t forget there’s the colloquial spelling too, being Man Bun.
What’s wrong with 6.5CM?
I’ve never turned necks, but almost all of the brass forming I’ve done is for old milsurps with very generous chambers. I’m guessing the
303-25 I was loading for must of been nice n loose too.
I would not describe any of the reloading I’ve ever done as precision work.
And yeah, there’s nothing wrong with the Creedmore, it’s just easy to make fun of, like
30-06 is…
…there’s a lot wrong with 30-06!
Sounding like a FUDD there
Ouch, that was a nasty burn.
Ive had to cop it a few times. This was just too good of an opportunity to let go.
