The whiskey corner

My old boss always brought the boys at work and myself johnny blue . But compared to many other whiskeys half the price . I find it highly overrated.

Johnny Walker in general is more of a marketing company than a distillery. They are pretty average. Definitely better to be had at almost half the price. Although, I do enjoy some gutter stuff, so my opinion don’t count

P.s.
Also, Jim Beam goes very well with smoked ribs or a good flame charcoal seared steak.

Mmm, is to late to fire up the BBQ?

OK after the next plinking session your going home with a bottle of Sungazer Royal Reserve. Bring your own bottle to be decanted direct from the single barrel of your choice.

That offer applies to all OZgun Lobby members.

Its never too late . Or too early

If only i was back in Vic :sob: you do things right

I once had some hill billy wiskey soaked in oak chips when i broke down in the high country and stayed with an old couple for a few days, and damn it was the best wiskey i’ve ever had!

One cap full of Jim Beam goes well in scrambled eggs believe it or not! Dont knock it, till you try it…

Are you a neat man, or a mixer man? Neat for me!

Definitely neat for me. I’ve always felt that if you need to add anything other than ice to whiskey. You should buy better whiskey. But that’s just my personal opinion i have watched my own father in disbelief add coke to $1200 a bottle scotch and had him give me shit for telling him that’s his first and last drink from that bottle haha

A nice bloke from the pistol club gave me a bottle of Habanero based tobasco style hot sauce that was 12 months on oak with the last six months having charred sherry barrel staves inserted.
It is in the same vein as your regular tobasco, but 50-60% hotter, the vinegar is sweeter, there is a hint of garlic and bay leaf and a touch of citrus with this amazingly warm encompassing finish, like the Green Mile black man hugging you and ‘taking back’ all the stinging heat as he caresses your groin like that scene with Tom “Pizza Handkerchief Map” Hanks.

As far as hot sauces go its like the best thing Ive put on pizza and breakfast eggs.

What is it about Oak that makes everything so masucline yet softer and more enjoyable?

Made some flatbreads for souvlakia. Oh man, did I say 50-60% its more like 100-200%

Oh hell yeah. Its good stuff. I jist noticed in the photo the legs on this stuff. Thats all habanero flesh! Arrrrghhhh!

If I was half a gentleman Id have the ingredients on hand to fix a proper Bloody Mary with this killer sauce.

See how this goes…
It goes good!

Thats what ethnic drinking loosk like lol.

Now I’m a tincy bit drunk.

Limeburners has simular tatse profile to Balvenie, but a lot (very noticeably) smoother.

Look at ye, drinkin fancy spuruts when the barley is quicker to ferment in ye lager barrel!

Tonight Im enjoying a double dry hopped oat cream india pale ale from a brewery in Seaford, Vic. Its notes are as follows;

Expensive.
Hard to get.
Notes of addiction and sodomy.
Hints of divorce
Creamy, warm overflowing familiar mouthfeel…(I think Ive had this before)

To Freedom!
